The two haven't much to do with one another, except that one took a picture of the other. I saw these jaunty toadstools to the side of a path I was walking along - they were only about three inches high or less. I would have liked to see a gnome peeking out from behind, or at least a party of fairies under the spotted one!
Then later, I nearly lost another camera to negligence. I'm on my third camera in a year's time, and I would have been in so much trouble if this one had been ruined! My husband is smart, though, and insists on buying a four-year guarantee with my cameras, so no matter what goes wrong it will be replaced at no charge. I really am careful with them, but sometimes things happen, you know? One camera was ruined by water, another just stopped working (I don't know what I did to that one), and this time I set the camera in a bag in my car, not realising that a container of homemade minestrone soup was leaking. One end of the camera soaked in it for a little while, and the LCD window wasn't working when I rescued it. The next day, however, it worked again (phew!) and all seems to be well.
Except that when I take a picture I can smell minestrone soup!
