Where have I been? ...right here at the computer! Except I haven't been blogging, I've been working diligently on my website. This is something that has been on my list-of-things-to-do for nearly two years. I'm not sure that now is such a good time to launch a website, but even if it languishes lonely and unattended it will still be an accomplishment, and I'll be happy to have finally done it! So why the long delay? It's like building a house and I'm doing all the work myself. I have a trail of blueprints and half-built buildings behind me because I keep changing my mind about this or that, so it's been slow going, then a few months ago I lost everything I had done when we got a new computer - somehow my website folder didn't make the transfer from the old computer to the new. But now I think I've got it. The foundation - getting my ideas onto paper. The framing - building the site with Dreamweaver, and learning as I go. There's been a lot of trial and error, I tell ya! (And a little bit of #:@&*%, too.) Then putting in the windows - photos. There are so many to take! And finally the finishing touches - all those words that describe, explain, and hopefully encourage a visitor to buy something. It's true that my once lofty design has been reduced to plain and simple (because that's all I can figure out how to do), but it probably suits me better this way anyway. So hopefully sometime in May I'll be joining the online shopping set. My fingers are crossed that it will be a good time to have a new house on the block!

Good luck to you on this venture--I applaud you for trying this yourself. I'd be having my mouth washed out many a times as I put a website together...lol...I have no patience!
Thank you for joining our Springtime in Paris swap!!

Good luck with your site! We just got a new computer last week, and I lost all of my bookmarks, and am still trying to figure out how to transfer information. I'm not that computer savvy. I'm looking forward to swapping with you. Your blog is lovely!

I did this once. Built a website the old fashioned way with hammers and nails LOL! It was fun really and took forever. It was gorgeous and well....the person who hosted it for me left town and my website moved with him. Come drag me back here when yours gets up so I won't forget!

Yes, so frustrating, but it will be sooooo worth it in the end :)
Good for you to give it a go yourself. That's great!
Blessings,
